Atelier Marras 

Atelier Marras is a multidisciplinary creative studio dedicated to exploring the meanings people create to understand themselves and the world around them. Through research, art, writing, and embodied practice, it brings these worlds into conversation with contemporary life.

Marras is an ancient Finnish word that carries meanings with death, the dying, and the spirits of the dead in folklore. It is also the name for November – marraskuu – the liminal time when nature turns inward before winter, and fires are lit to remember the ancestors. 

The name is a tribute to the cycle of creation, death, and transformation – and a reminder of the importance of knowing one's inner world.
